Lienz – Tourismusverband Osttirol (TVBO) reacted to structural change in favor of individual bookings on Internet portals. From the TVBO's online department, Johanna Troyer developed a new booking route with an existing advertising agency.
"This will help all landlords save on the cost of operating in international room reservations and holiday stairs," says President Franz Theurl. Behind the booking masks is the Feratel system, known by the landlords. "The system fee is only two percent," says Theurl. Booking.com already receives a 15% commission from many companies and also requires participation in discount promotions. "We want to curb this regional added value and thus raise net sales from the sold room," says the Chairman of the Tourism Committee.
In total, 1400 landlords in the area TVBO currently has 432 companies that can be booked on their own booking routines. The goal is that most TVBO official websites will be available. In 2017, the share of bookings on the Internet was already 38 per cent. In two years, most of the qualifications could be done online.
"Because the landlord is changing a bit," Theurl puts great hopes on the United Regional Reservation Method at Feratel. A particularly important process is the timeliness of registered quotas. "Tour Operator Coach Coaches contact each company and help maintain and support."
Especially small businesses, such as private rooms and holidaymakers, are supported not only in the Feratel system, but also in TVBO's network. The contact person is Rafaela Reiter's Leader Coach Manager. Thomas Winkler, Member of the Board of the Association Group: "We will continue to develop our development and our resources will be raised." (TT)
