At least 10 people died after the earthquake of Morro da Boa Esperanca, in Nitero, Rio Metropolitan area, on Saturday morning (10). Up until the beginning of the night, 11 people were vividly rescued from ruins. According to the fire department, at least four others were missing and searches were kept all night.
A generator was installed at night and helped to illuminate the area. Several fire brigades were working on site with volunteers.
The last confirmed death was an 11 month old baby. The fire department has not confirmed missing residues, but the company tries to find more and more victims still alive in the ruins.

The clerk said that after the tragedy, 25 properties were prevented in the community preventive. Robadey said that there is no rainfall during the next few hours, which could further increase the risk of landslides.

Niteroj Mayor Rodrigo Neves (PDT) stated that the site was not considered to be a high geological risk and that the tragedy caused a "crash" on the slopes.
"This phenomenon has not been unmanageable. In fact, there was a breakdown of depression from a point where, unfortunately, there was a tragedy."

The secretary of civil protection, Commander Roberto Robadey, asserts that the city was in the rain of the last days.
"Niterói was in a cautious and deterrent phase by region, and communities were warned of this situation and a recommendation to look for safe places," he told GloboNews.see the video interview below).
According to Morro da Boa Esperançan, president of the association of residents of Claudio dos Santos, some property was banned, but the mayor denied the information.

In his opinion, Governor Wilson Witze said he regretted the events. He announced that he had been in the Boa Esperanca community in the afternoon to express solidarity with the relatives and friends of the victims and follow the rescue operations of the fire department. He also said that he collected the information that needs to be investigated during the government's transitional period.
In the morning, a working group was set up to rescue the victims of the tragedy. About 200 people, the Niterón Civil Protection, Workers, Protected Foundations, Social Services, Health and Cleaning Secretaries, work in an integrated way with the Fire and State Defense Teams to help the victims. NitTrans and municipal government representatives coordinate traffic access.
The base of the municipal school of Neves, Francisco Portugali, belonging to Piatra, was set up to receive homeless people. The Municipal Department of Social Assistance and Human Rights has announced that it provides food to premises and the supply of commodities for families who want to stay with family and friends.

Among the dead are a child, two women over the age of 60, a 37-year-old man and a medieval woman in a firefight. Age and sex 11 rescued have not yet been disclosed by the company.
According to state hospital Azevedo Lima, six patients have been hospitalized for suffering. Two are children (2 and 3 years old), one in serious circumstances, and others are between 20 and 30 years of age.
Resident Rosemary Caetano da Silva, who was injured in an earthquake, says his 8-month-old granddaughter is in ruins.
"My eight-month-old granddaughter was buried there, I could get a boy who is in the hospital and the children are in the hospital." Everything that's happening there, everyone knew it would happen. I want to take action, "Rosemary said.

8 years Morro do Bumba
April 7, 2010 The city of Niterón also suffered a tragedy that marked the entire Rio de Janeiro. Forty-eight people died in a landslide that buried hundreds of houses in Morro do Bomba, a community in the neighborhood of Viçoso Jardim.
The main reason for the disaster was the construction of houses on an unstable ground where a dump was earlier. According to the Niteroj City Hall press conference, it is the first ticketing event ever since the Morro do Bumba case.
"Since 2013, the city of Niterón has invested over 150 million French in the protection structures on 50 slopes," says the City Hall.
