- What's good: Porsche style and admirable detail details, with a short-chain electrification bonus.
- What's bad: I could not find anything in such a short journey.
HOFEN AN DER ENZ, Germany: When riding from the palace of pine forests, on both sides of the two-lane road that rarely crossed the black forest, suddenly a vision was seen as a nice Christmas card.
When the snow fell straight down, on the horizon, the clouds split to reveal the pink rose painted pastel by the sky, colored by the sunlight.
In this work some of these views are valuable and worth remembering.
I hope I was thinking of taking a picture.
We only had six Canadian teams who used Porsche Cayenne e-Hybrid, Cayenne S and 2019 versions Cayenne Turboadded added value when the real reason is there – to see and experience the eight-generation Porsche 911 coming to Canada next year.
As Cayenne S and Turbo drive in Canada in January, challenging Canadian conditions, I find a very short experience in e-Hybrid.
The first difference with 2019 is the 455 hp and 516 lb / ft torque combined with a single-engine 3.0-liter V6 (335 hp) and an electric motor (134 hp, 295 lb / ft).
The power of the lithium-ion battery is 10.8 kWh – 14.1 kWh. The battery pack is only 44 km away.
This combination sees the e-Hybrid accelerating from 0-100 km / k to 5.0 seconds, from 0 to 160 km / h in 11.5 seconds, with a top speed limit of 253 km / h.
2020 Range Rover Evoque is the first Hybrid of Land Rover
This skirting is partly due to the same hybrid boost technology as the 918 Spyder supercar that combines the instantaneous torque of the electric motor and the extended power range of the turbo engine.
For 2019, Porsche made a complete transformation of the hybrid powertrain. The hybrid module, consisting of an electric motor and a switch, is cross-linked between the engine and the eight speed Tiptronic S automatic gearbox.
This new version of Tiptronic's transition is smoother and significantly faster. In Porsche, peak speed is achieved in the sixth gear, and the seventh and eighth are oversized gears.
The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) is standard and includes an active all-wheel drive with electronically adjustable map control with a multi-disc switch that generates a wide range of torque distributions.
Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard, while customers can upgrade to the same three-chamber air suspension system provided in another Cayenne configuration.
The E-Hybrid's beauty feature is the standard Sport Chrono package with a steering wheel integrated in the operating mode.
With this small baby and the Porsche Communication Management system, the driver can choose from Sport and Sport Plus modes like other Cayenne models with the Sport Chrono package. The Cayenne e-Hybrid adds four hybrid-specific modes: "E-Power", "Hybrid Auto", "E-Hold" and "E-Charge".
When charged, a 230 V 32-volt power supply connected to an optional 7.2 kW charger can charge the battery for 2.3 hours.
230 volt with 10 amperes connection to a standard 3.6 kW charger, the average full charge is 7.8 hours.
Needless to say, the driving qualities and conditions of the e-Hybrid are gratifying and the power plant is available when the car comes to an autobahn.
For the first time, Porsche offers a front end display (HUD) with a colored customizable / height-adjustable projection that displays information such as driving speed, engine speed, driving mode, navigation information, and current driving mode.
This can be improved by showing performance-related information such as lap times and G-forces.
Canadian pricing has not been announced, but it is US $ 79.900.
It was a short ride through the Black Forest through Cayenne e-Hybrid but it certainly raises my appetite.
