This week's serious B.C. a storm that led to long-lasting power outages and damaged dozens of buildings and homes.
Environment Canada continued wind winding on Vancouver Island on Saturday morning, requiring up to 90 kilometers per hour of wind winds in coastal and northern parts. In the eastern region and Victoria, national predictors say that the winds will reach 70 kilometers per hour.
West Vancouver Island is projected to be up to 80 kilometers per hour.
However, the storm is expected to ease the warning criteria starting from the area around Victoria and Campbell in the afternoon. On Saturday night and overnight the island is clear.
Some 60,000 BC Hydro customers on Vancouver Island, Salt Spring Island and Galiano Island still have no power.
