The small junction of the Korean Korean carmaker is certainly far from obvious.
Clearly, Tesla is not yet ready to give you a $ 35,000 electric car. This in turn means that some of the already available electric cars in that price range that are rolled into all the boxes may be able to eat away from Tesla's sales – albeit very little. One of them, the 2019 Hyundai Kona, is considered by many to be one of the best "best of the following" for the more expensive Tesla models.
Hyundai Kona makes a complete choice for your next electric vehicle. The starting price is $ 36,450 – which can, if we reduce the $ 7,500 federal tax credit, we could only reach $ 28,950 for a fully charged vehicle. There are then a number of state incentives that can further reduce this amount. For example, if you live in California, you can view the total cost, which is only $ 26,450. Instead, there are not many electric cars on the market that can win its value for money
Hyundai Kona Electric is powered by one electric motor running on front wheels, generating 201 horsepower and 290lb-ft (393Nm) torque. Kona is able to accelerate 0-62mph (0-100km / h) in about 7.5 seconds. However, it is a range that really makes a difference with Kona: thanks to a 64 kWh battery it contains an estimated EPA range of 415 kilometers. For comparison, the incoming Tesla Model 3 comes with a similar EPA-rated range of 260 miles (418 km). On the other hand, comparable (model and wise) Jaguar I-Pace, with EPA's estimated 234 miles (376 miles) – but at $ 69,500 – more than Hyundai Kona electricity, by all means.
No wonder many call Hyundai Kona for the next best expensive Tesla. The picture below gives us a detailed overview of the South Korean carmakers of the front-end electric cruise line. It dives into the design details, shows us many performance features and gives us a thorough insight into Kona's various features in general. This in turn gives a lot of support for marking Kona as the next best after Tesla.
The sale will begin in the beginning of 2019 and we will undoubtedly see Kona in large quantities in the next couple of months. In addition, Hyundai is not above the tax credit limit, so the restrictions encountered by Tesla are not yet experienced by this car manufacturer. All in all, all the positive aspects, the tax credit and the pretty impressive Bang for Buck aspect, will probably make Hyundai Kona the most sold electricity EV next year.
