The Vancouver police investigate the 15th murder of the city after the woman's body was found in his apartment in East Vancouver on a Saturday morning.
Police were called in a unit in a complex unit near Kingsway and Kerr Street at 8 am on a Saturday when the old woman was found dead.
A family friend says a neighbor called a woman's daughter when she heard her shouting early on Saturday morning.

The police say that the woman was 80 years old.
Neighbors are in shock.

O & # 39; Leary and her husband said that the victim had lived in a complicated environment for many years. They added that while there were some thefts in construction, there had been no serious crime recently.

"Why would someone do such a horrible job with some disabled people?" Asked O & # 39; Leary.
"It makes no sense, he's a family member with children … … I just do not understand how someone can do it for sweet old women, that's just awful."
Scientists spent the weekend combing the neighborhood with evidence.
The suspect has not been identified, and the motive for killing is still unclear.
"Research is still at a very early stage, and the Homicide Unit collects information to help the motive and who can be responsible," said Vancouver Police Const. Jason Doucette.
