The Colombian economy contracted by 3.39% year on year in November, according to the latest results of the economic monitoring index published by Danish director Juan Daniel Oviedo this Monday.
In October, the contraction had been 4.5%, which means an improvement in the country’s economic performance, but continues in negative territory.
According to the Dane The annual change in priority activities (agriculture and extractive industries) was -10.7% from November 2020 compared to November 2019. The monthly variation, in turn, was -1.3% compared to October 2020.
Likewise The annual change in ancillary activities (manufacturing and construction) was -6.8% from November 2020 compared to the corresponding month in 2019. The monthly variation compared to October 2020 was 0.6%.
Finally, the annual variation in higher education activity in November 2020 was -1.3% compared to the same month in 2019. Compared to October 2020, the monthly variation was 1.7%.
