Kia has wrapped up Seltos, debuted a new B-segment off-road vehicle in Delhi, India. Compact supply will be built in Korea and India in the car dealership company Anatapuri in Andhra Pradesh, and will be sold on the world market in the second half of this year.
Seltos' design has a lot of corner lines and sharp wrinkles that look pretty much in the unexplored unit's spyshots earlier this month. They should appeal to the target group of young, technologically interested consumers. The highlights of the design include a distinctive two-level LED headlight assembly, the top of which is linked to the “tiger-nose” grille and the lower cluster with 3D multilayer indicators.
Customers have wheels of different sizes, of which a 16-inch, 17-inch or 18-inch high-end crystal cutting range is available for the car. These tires have 205/60 16, 215/55 17 or 235/45 18 profile tires.
Inside, there is a spacious décor made of high quality materials, full of technology to meet the needs of the day. The new features include the segment's first 10.25-inch touch-screen Infotainment system with split-screen features, allowing drivers to customize the screen to display up to three applications simultaneously, or by running an application such as navigation on-screen.
Other items in the list of devices include the Bose premium sound system for eight speakers, the 8.0-inch screen and the automotive UVO Connect telematics system that works with UVO for mobile devices.
There is also an optional Sound Mood Lighting system that provides soft light from the door panels and pulsates with the pulsating music over time. Eight customizable colors and six themes offer plenty of experimentation.
Three engine ranges are available for Seltos, consisting of two petrol units and diesel. The petrol options are the 177PS 1.6-liter T-GDI turbocharged mill and the 2.0-liter naturally absorbing units that offer 149 PS, while the oil burner is a 1.6-liter unit with a 136 kW touch.
There is no shortage of cooperation, three of which are chosen. Depending on the market, Seltos has either a 7-speed dual-switch (7DCT), a six-speed automatic transmission (6AT) or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Tech highlights include Drive Mode Select with three settings (Normal, Eco and Sport).
Safety, Seltos is equipped with six airbags and a number of electronic vehicle safety systems. These include the standard Kia vehicle stability system, which includes traction control and electronic stability control. The list is also the starting and pulling control of the hill and the front and rear parking sensors.
