Davao Occidental Tigers cruised the eighth straight win when San Juan Knights ended the four-game loss on Saturday at the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup at the San Juan City Arena.
The Tigers rode Navotas Clutch, 72-69, to improve their 10-3 defeat, while the Knights returned to the winning streak with 71-62 victory over Cebu City Sharks.
Leo Najorda and Bogs Raymundo hit the Tigers with 17 and 10 points, although Mark Yee scored 12 rebounds at the same time as he took six points and four assistants. Bonbon Custodio also helped 10 points, five boards and seven assistants.
Knights, in turn, crossed the Sharks, 28 to 13, in the second quarter pull out near the 15-14 first quarter edge 43-27 halves and dictate the pace of the whole.
Larry Muyang was pumped 12 points and 12 chips while Aaron Jeruta, Ryan Michael Ayon Ayon and Mark Cardona combined 36 points.
Knights reached their 11th victory in 14 matches while Sharks' four-game winning streak took 5-9. The switch dropped to 5-8.
