The frequency of measles in Ukraine in 2018 may be highest in all independence years. The Ministry of Health's report of the Ministry of Health reports UNN.
"Since the year 2018, 36 455 people have died of measles – 14 115 adults and 22 344 children. If the prevalence remains the same, by the end of the year the number of measles can exceed the highest prevalence rate recorded in Ukraine since 1991 (42,724 in 2006) the statement reads. At the same time, at the center of the Ministry of Health, they said that measles is not a cure, and the only way to protect the disease is vaccination.
Most people received measles: Lviv area (7364 people: 2164 adults and 5200 children), Ivano-Frankivsk (3612 people: 971 adults and 2641 children), Transcarpathian (3459 people: 672 adults and 2787 children), Odessa 2550 people: 1274 adults and 1276 children), in Kiev (a total of 2408 people: 1491 adults and 917 children), Ternopil (altogether 2120 persons: 773 adults and 1347 children).
From the beginning of the year, 15 people died of measles problems: 11 children and 4 adults. However, doctors found a slight decrease in the rate of spread of the disease. So on the 44th week of 2018, 1246 people died of measles – 359 adults and 887 children. This is 5.5% less than the previous week.
According to the Ukrainian choice, the Ministry of Health criticized the inactivity in the vaccination field.
