NEW YORK. The price of oil at the end of the week has fallen. US light oil fell by 0.8 percent.
It has deteriorated for five weeks and closed on Friday at $ 60.19 per barrel, which was the lowest for nearly eight months. Brent crude oil, the price of which is the international reference price, fell 0.7 percent to US $ 70.20 per barrel.
The wholesale price of petrol in the US market fell 1.4 percent to $ 1.62 per gallon and heating oil remained at $ 2.17 per gallon.
Prices for precious metals also fell on Friday.
Gold fell 0.3 percent and closed at $ 1,208.60 per ounce. Silver fell 2 percent to $ 14.14 per ounce.
