Half of the vaccine-eligible persons were left unused last year
People with long-term health status have been warned to protect the flu this year.
In 2017, about half of the people eligible for NHS influenza vaccination in Wales were absent, and public health in Wales has warned that some health conditions increase the risk of people.
They include diabetes, heart, liver and kidney disease.
Influenza is spread by droplets that are injected into the air when the infected person coughs or sneezes.
Direct contact with contaminated hands or surfaces can also spread infections.
The main character of Wales, Jean White, said: "There is protection, and the annual influenza vaccine is the best way to prevent you from infecting an influenza that can aggravate the situation or lead to other dangerous complications.
"Do not take any risks – make sure you get your vaccination this year."
